Welcome to New Member Association: In February 2008, the CAUT Defence Fund welcomed the Saint Thomas More College Faculty Union into membership.
Welcome to New Member Association: In April 2007, the CAUT Defence Fund welcomed the University of Guelph Faculty Association (UGFA) into membership.
New Defence Fund Secretary: Peter Simpson, an Assistant Executive Director of CAUT, was confirmed as the new Secretary of the CAUT Defence Fund starting April 2007. He replaces Gord Piche, an Associate Executive Director of CAUT, who served the Defence Fund with distinction as Secretary for many years.
Daily Strike Benefit Increases: At the annual meeting of the trustees of the CAUT Defence Fund on October 13, 2007, the daily strike benefit paid to member associations during job action was increased from $75 per day to $77 per day.
